I find myself in Erie (and NOCO in general) frequently for family & senior sessions and have discovered many beautiful locations in the area that are always a hit. For this session, I found myself in Fort Lupton, and found a new favorite! The family half of the session was taken on the family’s private property, and I don’t think they want trespassers ;), but the park we used for Arianna’s senior photos is GORGEOUS, open to the public, and makes for a great backdrop for any session.

Pearson Park, Fort Lupton, CO

Arianna, an awesome lady with the GREATEST sense of humor, is a senior this year, and with graduation comes a senior session! I met Arianna’s family in 2022 for Trinity’s (the oldest daughter) senior photos, so it was lovely to have them return for their next milestone.

A high school senior with blonde hair wearing a tan sweater looks to the side with trees and a river in the background.

Pearson Park has a gorgeous pedestrian bridge, which makes for a unique, urban backdrop. We started off the session on the bridge, and as we made our way over to it, Arianna suggested I look into a private jet for all of the traveling I had done that Summer. Let me tell you- I have never had a senior crack me up as much as this lady!

After crossing the bridge, we ventured down to the rocky area by the river (which was an adventure that may or may not have involved ALMOST falling down a hill). It was well worth it to get the water and trees behind her.

After we finished up at the park, we headed over to the family property, where I was greeted by chickens and GOATS, who didn’t want to cooperate for pictures, but were very cute!

We finished off the session with a few photos in front of their lovely backyard, capturing golden hour behind them.

The entire session was memorable, but the one thing that stood out the most was when I left, and Arianna waved goodbye, saying “I’ll see you at my wedding someday!”

To the Hood family: thank you for trusting me (again) to preserve your memories for you, and for being such a great group to work with. To Arianna, thank you for being so sweet and funny. Sessions like these remind me why I love what I do so much <3
