This wedding? One for the books. Georgia and An’s intimate backyard wedding in Dripping Springs had everything: British wedding traditions, Texas Hill Country views, tons of laughter, and… a surprise jump in the pool. From start to finish, it was full of heart, character, and the kind of moments you can’t plan — which made it an absolute dream to photograph.
A Backyard Wedding with Hill Country Views
They hosted their day on Georgia’s family property just outside of Austin, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect. The views were next-level, the weather was warm, and the whole vibe felt cozy, intentional, and super personal.
No big production. Just the people they love, a beautiful setting, and a whole lot of joy.

British Traditions, Texas Setting
Georgia and An are big-time travelers with roots all over. They’d already celebrated a Vietnamese wedding abroad, so this day was all about sharing her British wedding traditions with their U.S. crew — including a three-course dinner followed by tea and coffee.
There was something really special about blending that formal structure with the casual feel of a backyard space. It gave the whole evening this relaxed elegance that felt really them.

Speeches, Smiles & A Pool Surprise
The speeches? Unreal. Every toast came with laughs, a few tears, and that kind of real, unfiltered emotion that makes you stop shooting for a second and just feel it.
And then came the twist: right after their first dance, they cannonballed into the pool — in full wedding attire. Guests were screaming. People were cheering. It was unexpected, hilarious, and completely unforgettable.

Why I Loved Shooting This Day
As a photographer, this is the kind of wedding that lights me up. The smaller guest list meant I could really focus on the real stuff — the hugs, the glances, the spontaneous laughter between bites of dessert.
There was no pressure, no stiff posing, just a ton of real moments. Candid storytelling all the way.
