There’s nothing quite like an outdoor wedding. You and your partner get to spend the biggest day of your lives surrounded by nature, friends, and family. The key is finding the perfect venue to accommodate your entire guest list and your desired theme! The Cedar Bend, one of the hidden gems of outdoor wedding venues in Austin, is located in Cedar Creek, TX. It can host up to 200 of your loved ones on their gorgeous property. With in-house dressing rooms, limitless options for photo backdrops, and rental options, The Cedar Bend is a fantastic option for an outdoor wedding. The Cedar Bend is located in Cedar Creek, TX, a city only 30 minutes outside of Austin. This makes it super easy for locals and travelers alike to get there!

The Barn

Nothing says ‘Texas Wedding’ like a barn at your wedding venue. Paired with a gorgeous prickly pear cactus out front, this venue showcases the beauty of Central Texas.

The Hospitality

You may find another outdoor wedding venue in Austin with a barn, but you won’t find one with a Kara. Kara is the venue’s manager, coordinator, decorator, clean-up crew, and fabulous personal assistant. While we were with the couple taking portraits (in August), she followed us around with ice-cold towels to keep the couple cool between shots. Kara and her whole team are fantastic, experienced, and kind, and know how to keep your wedding running smoothly.

The Amenities and Details

Between the TWO on-site getting-ready suites and the stunning details throughout the property, it’s a no-brainer that my vote for the best outdoor wedding venues in Austin is The Cedar Bend. So many venues have a tendency to shove one of the partners in a kitchen or closet somewhere! Thankfully, The Cedar Bend has TWO full-sized getting-ready areas. These areas are separated and have A/C so that both partners can enjoy their morning!

Additionally, there are so many beautiful details scattered throughout the venue that really tie the whole vibe together. There are stunning rustic chandeliers hanging over the Texas-sized patio, and fire pits perfect for wedding smores.

Finally, they are always prepared and came in clutch when a last-minute change of plans resulted in our sweet couple abandoning their plan for a sparkler send-off. Kara was ready to go, and jumped in to offer bubbles to their guests to blow for a magical “bubble dance”.

LGBTQ+ Friendly

The Cedar Bend has a bold statement of inclusivity on its website. Upfront inclusivity is huge for couples who are apart of the LGBTQ+ community or have friends/family in the community!

Choose-Your-Own Ceremony Spot

Finally, my favorite thing about The Cedar Bend is how customizable their property is. There are several options for where you can have your ceremony, as well as TONS of options for portrait photo spots throughout the property. The property is your oyster!

The first option is in front of some of the many trees on the property. There is a lovely stone path perfect for your bridal party to stand on while watching your ceremony, and shade for you and your partner to stand under.

The second option is in front of the unique window wall. This spot is perfect for couples who want to switch it up and have a backdrop that stands out.
