Erie, CO is home to some of the BEST seniors (source: a photographer in Erie, CO, after photographing several of them this year). I had the privilege of capturing Heidi’s senior photos this year, and getting to know her (and having her teach me what ‘drip’ means) was so much fun. With two great locations, three outfit changes, and a whole lot of fun, this senior session was a success.
Senior Session at Erie High School | Photographer in Erie, CO
We started at EHS, using a variety of backgrounds available on the campus to truly signify the moment for this lovely senior. Taking photos on your school’s campus is a great way to cherish your high school years, and will help bring back the memories from around campus when you look back at your photos.
Waneka Park
After a few photos at the high school, we went over to Waneka Lake Park in Lafayette for a change of scenery. Waneka is a local favorite for summer water sports such as paddleboarding, and is popular for hiking, biking, birdwatching, and simply playing on the playground. One of the most prominent features (given the park’s name) is the lake, with gorgeous blue water and plenty of “beach” around it to pose on.

Boho Vibes
Lastly, we went to the East side of the lake, where a gorgeous field of tall grass can be found. This area is perfect for living out those Pinterest-worthy boho-style photos. Our session took place during golden hour, which means the already beautiful landscape was leveled up to a dream-like environment with golden rays shining through the grass.
