We had the honor of photographing Ilana and Arman’s wedding at Shupe Homestead in Longmont, CO earlier this year, and had a blast while doing it!
When I met Ilana and Arman for their engagement session, Ilana told me that she realized after booking us that she and Daniel actually went to the same church in Bailey growing up. Ilana and Arman even felt like old friends by the end of their wedding 🙂
We started the day off with a few detail photos, one of my favorite parts of a wedding day.
Ilana and Arman chose to get ready at an Airbnb a short distance from Shupe Homestead. It was stunning, and was right on the water!
After the ladies’ hair and makeup were completed and the guys were dressed, we all headed over to Shupe Homestead for a few photos before the ceremony. Arman and his groomsmen spotted cows on the property, so naturally, we had to take photos with them.
Ilana and Arman chose to have a first touch prior to the ceremony as well! We captured just the beginning of it before leaving them to have a moment truly to themselves.
The ceremony was elegant, personal, and beautiful. Several of their loved ones performed readings and excerpts, and the couple participated in a tradition from the Persian culture. Ilana and Arman exchanged honey, meant to bring sweetness to their marriage.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds signed their marriage license, and we took a few portraits before heading into the reception.
By the time the reception came around, Ilana, Arman, and their guests were ready to paaaaartaaay! The dance floor was lively all night, right up until their grand exit.
Overall, Ilana and Arman’s wedding was a blast, and we were so glad we got to capture it.
